“Fashion is the most powerful art there is. It’s movement, design, and architecture all in one. It shows the world who we are and who we’d like to be…” – Blair Waldorf
That was very well said by Queen B. from the popular television series, Gossip Girl (I like Serena van der Woodsen’s style though…). Well, she’s right. When you dress yourself, you show the world who you are, what your personality is and sometimes, what and who you portray. We look up to different fashion icons out there: Audrey Hepburn, Tyra Banks, Blake Lively, and locally we have Tricia Gosingtian, Camille Co, Laureen Uy (..yeah, they’re my inspirational people!) and no doubt, they dress up really, really pro… But it’s so stressful being like them. Their signature styles, the clothing brands they carry, and (sigh) becoming known… But why do we need to be stressed-out when you can create your own style? I mean, a very unique you, you, and you! Break the i-love-expensive-clothing-brands syndrome which also (admit it) breaks your wallet. Will you buy a super expensive dress if it doesn’t look good on you nor fit your body shape? And you can always invent your own style and become known for it! You don’t always need to follow what’s cooking… Fad (often) fades, but your creativity won’t.
So? Let’s go and explore what’s inside your closet!
